Firefighters in Green Bay, Wisconsin, are testing Google Glass to see how it might help fight, prevent and/or investigate fires. The department’s efforts were profiled this week by local TV station WBAY, and their news story is embedded below.

Firefighting has been in the news a few times before as one of the potentially very cool — and very beneficial — use cases for Glass. There are at least a couple companies we’ve profiled (here and here) that have worked on special software for firefighters and emergency response teams. Google itself promoted the story of a firefighter in North Carolina that was testing Glass a year ago, and it’s even been tested by Dutch firefighters, too.
